The farmers of the district Mau are engaged in the work of harvesting and threshing of paddy on a war footing. Paddy procurement has also started from November 1. Not only this, 4302 farmers have also got themselves registered. Despite this, there is silence in all the purchasing centers of the district. Till now farmers have not been able to reach any purchasing center. Due to this, sowing of paddy procurement could not even take place. On the other hand, the Deputy RMO is busy motivating the farmers on a war footing. He is doing a thorough investigation by visiting all the purchasing centers. They are also encouraging small farmers to sell their paddy first. A total of 4302 farmers have been registered in the district so far. There are 1386 farmers in Ghosi Tehsil , 464 in Madhuban , 1628 in Sadar Tehsil and 824 in Muhammadabad Gohna .
