Big action on Delhi pollution... Half the employees sent to WFH, ban on entry of trucks, advisory for companies too
In view of the increasing pollution in Delhi, Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that the entry of trucks has been banned in the National Capital Region. Only essential trucks will get entry in Delhi. CNG and electric trucks will be allowed to enter Delhi. Along with this, advisory has also been issued to the companies regarding work from home to the employees. Minister Gopal Rai said, CAQM has given directions for new restrictions by analyzing the severe plus category. There is already a ban on construction and demolition works in Delhi, but some categories were exempted. Highways, over bridges, pipelines, all these are also being banned from today. The Environment Minister said that from today all types of trucks except essential services will be banned from entering Delhi. However, CNG and electric vehicles will be exempted.
