Big action on Delhi pollution... Half the employees sent to WFH, ban on entry of trucks, advisory for companies too
In view of the increasing pollution in Delhi, Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that the entry of trucks has been banned in the National Capital Region. Only essential trucks will get entry in Delhi. CNG and electric trucks will be allowed to enter Delhi. Along with this, advisory has also been issued to the companies regarding work from home to the employees.

Minister Gopal Rai said, CAQM has given directions for new restrictions by analyzing the severe plus category. There is already a ban on construction and demolition works in Delhi, but some categories were exempted. Highways, over bridges, pipelines, all these are also being banned from today. The Environment Minister said that from today all types of trucks except essential services will be banned from entering Delhi. However, CNG and electric vehicles will be exempted. Apart from emergency services, there will be a ban on everything except BS-6 in diesel vehicles.
Committee formed for monitoring
The rules that have been implemented regarding the environment in Delhi are being implemented properly or not. A six-member monitoring committee has been constituted for its monitoring. Gopal Rai told that he will write a letter to the CMs of Haryana and UP that the trains coming from there should be diverted from the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways only so that they can reach the border of Delhi. Gopal Rai said that the number of CNG and electric vehicles in Delhi has increased compared to last year, but apart from this, instructions have been given to the Transport Department to start 500 private environment bus services.
Half of Delhi government employees on WFH
Along with this, 50 percent of Delhi government employees have been sent to work from home. Gopal Rai said that advisory is also being issued for private offices that they should also follow it. The SDM will hold a meeting with all the RWAs there. And will provide electric heaters to the guards, who do night duty. Instructions have been given to the Revenue Commissioner to meet with the local market and take a decision to vary their timings.
